The "M" division is giving fans a special goodbye gift. The current M3 (G80) generation is coming to an end, and BMW wants to say goodbye in a big way. The The 2027 BMW M3 CS, with a manual gearbox and classic rear-wheel drive (RWD), will make its final appearance to the world.

This car is more than just speed; it is about the feeling of driving. The 3.0-liter Twin-Turbo engine produces 473 horsepower. The most important engineering change is the weight. BMW made the car 34 kg lighter by using carbon fiber, titanium exhaust parts, and special wheels. If you choose carbon-ceramic brakes, the car becomes even 14.3 kg lighter.

The exact weight is not official yet, but the new M3 CS should weigh about 1,708 kg. Even with the weight loss, it is still 122 kg heavier than the 2018 F80 M3 CS. This is strange because a manual gearbox is usually lighter than the Dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
The engineers used shock absorbers from the M4 CSL. They also added new springs and changed the rear parts to lower the car by 6 mm. This helps the car stay better on the road. For an extra $1,100, you can also add a front strut bar to make steering more precise. The car goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The top speed is 290 km/h. To be honest, 290 km/h is not very fast for a modern M car. It is not the fastest car in the world, but it is not built for just straight lines.

The price starts at $108,450. You can choose special retro colors like Techno Violet or Imola Red for an extra $4,500. The standard colors are Black Sapphire and Isle of Man Green. The new M3 CS will be limited. It will be sold only in the USA and Canada. Production starts in July, and the first cars will arrive in autumn. Are you ready to be a part of this history?
